AVA launches Engineers’ Training Initiative – at N&W Global, Bilston on Friday 15th May 2009

The AVA has organised the first in a series of training courses for vending engineers at N&W Global, on Friday 15th May 2009. This first course is focused on drink vending’s principal raw material – water. The course ensures that engineers have an in-depth knowledge of issues such as drink quality, scale, water regulations and microbiology, making sure the service they offer to vending specifiers can continue to increase in quality.

There will be two courses available, lasting approx two and a half hours each, offering the option for morning attendance at 10 am or afternoon attendance at 1.30pm for engineers. Each session will be followed by an assessment paper, those who successfully pass the course will receive a certificate to prove their training. The course is available to AVA Members only, at just £35 plus VAT including certification.

This Engineers’ training is the first in a series of initiatives embarked upon by the AVA Technical Committee under the chairmanship of Chris Skipper, NVCS Ltd. Further Training Initiatives will include Portable Appliance Testing, Drink Quality/Barista Training, Customer Contact and Communication, Engineering Health & Safety and Installation Health & Safety.
