Chris Penn, Paul Goad and Richard Allen

4 Aces’ managing director, Chris Penn joined with associate, Richard Allen and managing director of water cooler company, Seaton Spring, Paul Goad to complete the AJ Bell  London Triathlon in July.

The trio participated in the event on behalf of Just a Drop, managing to raise almost £1,000 for the international water aid charity, which works to provide people in the third world with clean water.

Taking part in the Olympic distance, Mr Penn completed the 1,500m swim in the Thames, despite heavy rain, while Mr Allen undertook the 40km cycling challenge and Mr Goad did the 10km run.

Mr Penn and Mr Allen joined Mr Goad for the last couple of hundred metres, ensuring that all three passed the finish line together before going off to celebrate their shared achievement.

Mr Penn said: “It’s great to come together and take part in an event as big as this one, particularly when we know that we’re raising funds for such a good cause.

“The last few months of training certainly paid off. We hadn’t factored in the rain but we’re a pretty hardy bunch and we were all determined to see the challenge through, regardless of the weather.”
