Low-cost valve ensures compliance with water regulations

A new small and inexpensive Brita non-return valve for use with Purity C filter heads now available from Becktech prevents back flow to protect the water supply from potential contamination and making it simple for companies to ensure that installations comply with water regulations.

These units ensure that valve replacement in vending machines is a quick and easy job accessible to whoever changes the filters, with non-return devices such at these recommended to be changed every five years. They are supplied in packs of three.

Benders agree two year supply to the NIVO Group

UK Paper cup manufacturer, Benders, is delighted to announce that it has agreed a 2 year contract to supply the NIVO Group for all of their paper vending cup requirements. The NIVO Group is the largest buying group in the refreshment/vending industry and consists of over 290 members nationwide.

The NIVO Group decided to source their full range of paper vending cups from Benders Paper Cup Company for many reasons, including the quality and reliability of their products.

Seda UK gears up for London Coffee Festival

Seda UK is fast making preparations for the London Coffee Festival which takes place 27-29 April 2012 at the Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane. Following the successful launch of the event last year Seda UK decided to rank among the headline sponsors for a second time.

Seda UK is supporting the festival by exclusively providing 250,000 paper cups which will be distributed to around 100 of London’s best in class independent cafés as well as coffee stalls at the festival venue.

The UK’s 4th biggest airport will enjoy the latest in vending technology, the ‘Broderick’s Touch’ – an especially adapted Sigma Touch from Westomatic Vending Services.

Although regularly visited for cleaning and filling, vending machines are by their very nature unmanned, making them easy targets for vandals and thieves. Premises that use this service should take various security measures, from CCTV to deter would be vandals, to fixing machines to prevent ‘rocking’ and theft, to regular checks and emptying cash, rather than leaving it over night.

NIVO Supplier of the Year

Tuesday 14th February was the date for the 3rd NIVO Supplier of the Year Awards event.

No expense was incurred (or at least only a modest amount) at the winner’s lunch held at the local carvery. What was particularly enjoyed, however, was the very close bond and association enjoyed by the winners and the NIVO Team.

According to CHD Expert, the hot beverage market continues to grow, with over two-thirds of coffee consumption being out of home.

The global foodservice information provider has also revealed that the hot beverage market is one of the few to have shown continued growth over the past 4 years. The global market for hot beverages (coffee and tea) is forecasted to reach $69.77 billion in value and 10.57 million tons in volume by the year 2015.

Future growth in worldwide coffee and tea industries is expected to rely on a few key factors – quality, health and convenience.

UK Soft Drinks Conference on winning form in London

The 2012 UK Soft Drinks Industry Conference, held close to the Tower of London on 21st and 22nd March, following immediately after the InnoBev Global Beverages Congress on 19th to 21st March. Both events were in London as the location for the 2012 Olympics.
